Stanley G Trujillo

May 1, 1943 ~ August 28, 2023 (age 80) 80 Years Old

Stanley G. Trujillo, Jr, J.D., of San Jose, California, passed away on August 28, 2023, at age 80. He was born May 1, 1943, in Glendale, California, to Stanley and Virginia Trujillo. Stan loved education and had a life-long interest in learning. He earned Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in U.S. History from San Jose State University. He obtained his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the Hastings College of Law, now the UC College of Law, University of California at San Francisco.

For over 30 years Stan practiced criminal law and served as Deputy District Attorney in Riverside County and Santa Clara County. He was a strong advocate for justice, and in addition to his criminal law practice, he did legal advocacy for immigrants.

Stan loved football, nature, the outdoors, cars, celebrating holidays with his family (especially the 4th of July), good food and making people laugh with his quick wit.  He recalled information faster and more accurately than possible with a Google search. He read voraciously and remembered everything he ever read. He adored his children and grandchildren. Everyone who knew him will miss him and cherish his memory. Stan was unique and no one can replace him.

Stan was baptized in the Presbyterian Church and remained a faithful Christian his whole life. At the time of his death, he was a member of the Santa Teresa Hills Presbyterian Church, and was an active member, participating in many church activities and groups.

He was preceded in death by his son Sean. He is survived by his children Cynthia Kverno, David Trujillo, and Jennifer Trujillo; his sisters, Christie Morgan, Jacqueline Bourdette, Patricia West, and Barbara Geppert; and grandchildren, Evan and Kai.

A Memorial Service will be held at Santa Teresa Hills Presbyterian Church, 5370 Snell Avenue, San Jose, on September 9th at 2 pm.

He will be laid to rest at Los Gatos Memorial Park, Los Gatos, California.
