Ruth Maxwell Moulton

June 25, 1931 ~ April 20, 2019 (age 87)

Ruth Maxwell Moulton, born June 25th 1931, passed away on April 20th 2019 in Santa Clara, California. She is survived by 4 sons, Brent, Carl, Keith, and Scott, by 2 daughters, Jeanette and Linda, and by her sister, Mary, along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 56 years, Newell J. Moulton, and son, Dennis J. Moulton. The funeral will take place on Saturday, April 27, 10:00 am, at the Campbell Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Saratoga, California. Burial will be at the Cherokee Memorial Cemetery in Lodi, San Joaquin, California. Ruth was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, she volunteered many hours to service has a teacher and leader and served with her husband as a missionary in Richmond, Virginia. She was born in Los Angeles and grew up in Southern California. In 1964 she and Newell made San Jose, California their family home, where she lived for over 50 years. Ruth lived a full life as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, never forgetting a birthday or special event. She was a homemaker making her home a place of comfort, education and spiritual peace. She loved to cook, kept an immaculate house, was always organized, she was a skilled seamstress, cake decorator and teacher of many things but mostly by example. She was strong, independent, gracious, valiant, a spiritual anchor. She shared her talents with family and friends alike. She faced her final illness with bravery. Most of all she loved her family and instilled in her sons and daughters strong values that have served them well. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. We know our Heavenly Father will greet her as his cherished daughter in whom he is well pleased.
