Bob Busch was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 1, 1929 to parents Ralph and Myrtle Busch. Bob went to be with his Lord on February 28, 2021 at his home in San Jose, California.
Bob grew up in Mt Lebanon, Pennsylvania but lived his adult life in the Bay Area. He graduated from Penn State University in Industrial Engineering. This is where he met his wife Marylou. Following graduation he served in the US Army during the Korean conflict. He moved to California to join Fairchild Semiconductor and went on to start Avantek where he served as the Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Quality.
Bob had many interests including following sports avidly, he was an enthusiastic Penn State football fan and supported the Engineering school, he rooted for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates, he enjoyed a bit of gardening, and he was a constant reader and loved to teach others. Bob was also an avid golfer. He and Marylou played many of the famous courses in America and Europe.
Bob loved God, and aimed to live his life accordingly. He was active in his church and lead bible studies, Sunday school, and even preached a few sermons.
Bob is survived by three children: David, Carl (Karen), and Debbie (Chris); three grandchildren: Danny (Monica), Michael, and Bobby (Megan); three great-grandchildren: (Breanna, Bennett, and Brynnlee).
Bob was a beloved husband of 63 years to Marylou Busch, who predeceased him along with his daughter-in-law Minde, and granddaughter, Carol.
A private family service will be held at Los Gatos Memorial Park. The family requests any gifts be made to the Villages Community Chapel.
