Reuben Angel Miranda passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at the Veterans Hospital in Palo Alto, California. He suffered cardiac arrest after bravely battling Parkinson's disease. His wife, Nel and son, Ruben were at his beside. Reuben was an intelligent person, honest, a good human being with a big heart. He showed sincere love in his quiet ways. He always loved his family and enjoyed their company.
Reuben was born in Tucson, Arizona, attended James Lick High School in San Jose and after serving in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years, Reuben earned a degree in History from San Jose State University. He worked in various small jobs, then later joined Farmers Insurance Group where he worked in the Auto Claims department as a Field Coordinator/Supervisor for 22 years. He kept busy with his time by doing other jobs in Security (Landmark Protection and Allied Universal Security Services) as well as volunteering for community youth sports, where he coached with his son at the YMCA and little league groups.
Reuben is survived by his loving wife, Nel, devoted children: Terrilynn, Ruben Jose, Nerizza, granddaughters, Zara and Sofia, son-in-law Jon, brothers, sisters, cousins, nephews, nieces and great nieces. His loving spirit will be missed by all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to attend a mass at St. Frances Cabrini Parish in Cambrian Park, 15333 Woodard Rd, San Jose, 95124, on Monday, October 3, 2022 at 11:00 am., immediately followed by procession to Los Gatos Memorial Park, San Jose, California for military honors and priest blessings at the burial site. A reception to be announced.
