Philip Marcaida Palacio departed this life on Thursday, April 15, 2021. Diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer in 2019, Philip let his last breath go surrounded by his Mother, Father, and two sisters.
Philip was born in Manila, Philippines on December 22, 1970, to Alice M. Palacio and Gabriel D. Palacio. He graduated from Mountain View Academy in 1989 and attended De Anza College before joining the work force as a security guard. He later went on to work as a wafer fab technician.
Philip was born the sixth child and fifth boy in a family of seven. He was kind, gentle and easy-going. In this last year and a half of cancer he continued to offer his bright humor. He loved to laugh.
Philip enjoyed the simple pleasures of life: family, friendships, children, basketball, movies, music, dogs, travel, and food. He is survived by his son, Steven, his parents, six siblings, and a host of nephews, nieces, aunts, and uncles who carry his memory strongly in their hearts. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Nicanor F. Marcaida.
