June Guerrero Castro, 49, of Los Gatos, CA , passed away peacefully at her home on the 20th of May 2018 after an astounding battle with her illness for 9 years.
June was born on the 26th of June 1968 in Baguio City, Philippines. An all around type woman, capable of multiple and any kind of task, she focused on business and opened her own and was involved in all facets of it. A Manager, an operations leader, an entrepreneur, you name it, all these contributed to a successful sales business for over 10 years. An opportunity arose to move to the U.S. in 2008, in hopes of starting fresh and giving a better future for her kids, she took it despite the pain and sacrifice of being away from them. She pursued and took on many roles, including an assistant chef, a painter, a gardener, a babysitter, a house-sitter, and a caregiver. Wanting to pursue a career in Nursing, it was cut short by her diagnosis. It was time to switch gears and not worry too much about a career, but to focus on enjoying the gift of life. Now a homemaker, she was successfully able to pass on the dreams she had to her kids and they migrated to the U. S. in 2013. Teaching and encouraging them nonstop, to aim high and not be content with average, that’s just how she was.
She is indeed the Superwoman we look up to and admire, that despite her hardships, are so thankful to her for giving us the inspiration to overcome our own.
She is survived by her husband Ferdinand, and 3 children, AJ, Alex, and Carl, and a special guy Brutus, who gave that extra boost to June with his unending kisses and adorable little eyes. “He is a heartbreaker!” as June would say.
We love you June! Go now and run like you did, smile and laugh like you did, dance and show them your moves!
