Obituary of Jimmy Lee England
Jimmy Lee (Jim) England passed into Glory on May 20, 2018 after a decade-long and courageous battle with non-hodgkins lymphoma. He was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on August 23, 1931, the youngest of four children born to Alfred and Vada England. At 12 years of age, the family moved to Pacific Grove, California then settled in Campbell where he graduated Campbell High School in 1949 and had met Ferne Sharpe. They were married on March 12, 1951 and Jim joined the Air Force serving in Logistics during the Korean War. Three years later they moved back to Campbell and Jim went to work for the Ford Motor Company and later for 33 years at FMC. Jim and the family were active in the outdoors with camping and fishing as well as all of their three children’s school, sports and music activities. Later, after retiring, Jim and Ferne travelled extensively in the U.S., Europe, Mexico and to Egypt. He was an active member of the Campbell Sons in Retirement. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ferne, son Trent (Debbie), Daughter Michele (Paul), and son Stuart (Alison), five grand kids and ten great-grand kids.
A memorial service and internment was held at Los Gatos Memorial Park on May 24, 2018.
