We are extremely saddened to announce the passing of James Michael “Mike” Conway, our beloved husband, father, step-father and grandfather.
Mike passed away peacefully after courageously struggling for 7 years with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP).
Mike graduated from Campbell High School in 1958 and subsequently San Jose State in 1963. He had lived in Los Gatos since 1969 and was a beloved member of Leigh High School teaching staff for more than 30 years. He impacted many in the community through his coaching of the swim team while having the patience of a saint teaching Driver’s Ed. His guidance led the swim team to win the C.C.S. Title in 1979.
He is survived by his loving wife Caroline, his daughters Kristen (Henderson) and Leslie (Hughes), his step-daughter Mael (Buckner) and grandchildren Patrick and Margaret (Hughes) and Katelyn and Karlie (Henderson).
A birthday celebration in his honor will be held at his home on July 7th in the afternoon and all those who knew him are invited to attend to share stories.
Donations in his name can be sent to CurePSP.org.
