She is also survived by her sister Betty Hatcher of Oklahoma as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
We would like to thank her care-givers at Amberwood Gardens for their devotion to taking great care of her and making her comfortable in her last days.
Ina touched many lives with her gentle spirit and kindness to all she met. She was the best mother one could ask for with a heart of gold and will be sorely missed.
Ina was born in Oklahoma, one of 13 children. She came to California as a young adult. After working on the farm and taking care of her siblings, she yearned for a more adventurous life. She worked as a waitress for many years as well as marrying and raising two children of her own. Eventually owning her snack shack inside the PayLess in San Jose where many friends and family enjoyed her burgers, fries, ice cream cones and chocolate dipped bananas. After selling that business, she worked in her husband’s CPA/Tax accounting firm until her divorce in 1970. Out on her own again, she gained employment in San Jose at the Almaden Costco as a greeter until her retirement.
We will be having a memorial service in accordance with the COVID restrictions on Monday, December 28th, at 10:00am PST in the Legacy Garden and then internment immediately following at her final resting place inside the Los Gatos Memorial Park, 2255 Los Gatos-Almaden Road, San Jose, California 95124
