Born in Waco, Texas, Helen ”Louise” (Samford) Bonham was more a California than a Texan! Her family brought her to visit relatives in Campbell, Ca in the 1930’s in a very cramped Model T Ford. After returning to Texas and growing up she went to work for the Federal Government processing the blueprints for the P51 Mustang aircraft…the new bubble top version for use in WW II.
She travelled back to Campbell, Ca where she met Kyle “Dale” Bonham. (Amazingly she was introduced to him by her relatives in Campbell!) They married in 1943 and built their own home in Mountain View, Ca. She was an excellent seamstress and loved taking care of her garden. Dale and Louise had two daughters, Joan E. Lake (passed in 2008) and Anita Bell. Louise is survived by daughter, Anita Bell, and Grandchildren Michael Bell, Richard Bell, Christopher Bell, Sharon Lombrozo, and 7 Great Grandchildren – Kyle Bell, Kierra Bell, Connor Bell, Tessa Bell, Lucy Bell, Joshua Lombrozo, and Ryan Lombrozo.
