Elizabeth (Ellis) Kipp

Libby passed away peacefully on May 29, 2023, after a brief illness, she was 92.

Libby was born July 9, 1930, in Flint, Michigan.  Attended Flint Tech High School and graduated from Mott College, Flint, MI with an AA in Business and trained as a secretary.  She moved to California from Michigan in 1963 and lived in Saratoga, Los Gatos, and Campbell.  Libby retired from the Santa Clara County Office of Education in 1991 and was married 62 years to Russell Kipp who preceded her in death in 2015.

Libby loved music and sang in choirs in High School and at Calvary Church in Los Gatos where she was a member for over 50 years.  She also loved playing the piano and often played for friends and family.  She enjoyed cooking, gardening as well as traveling with Russ, visiting countries all over the world.

She is survived by her two daughters: Lorraine Reed (Larry) and Karen Speidel (Doug).  Four grandchildren; Annika Haggerty (Ryan), Andrew Gustafson (Anna), Kristina Burch (Eli) and Jacqueline Speidel.  Six great grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held for family only, however, please leave a condolence or a favorite memory on this tribute page to commemorate Libby. 

In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to World Vision or Salvation Army.
