Edward George Stangohr was born on November 19, 1928 in Hollister, California. He passed away on May 15, 2021 in Granite Bay, California. Ed was preceded in death by his beloved wife and best friend Mary Jean Stangohr.
He is survived by his family, as well as many dear friends and neighbors. His immediate family is a large and energetic one consisting of three daughters and sons-in-law – Sally and Steve, Ann and Jeff, Sandy and Tim; six grandchildren and their spouses – Adam and Whitney, Seth and Jill, Josh and Katrina, Kate and Stefan, Kevin and Emily, Ben and Danielle; and twelve great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his youngest sister, Martha Carol Shelton, and by many nieces and nephews.
Ed was a man of genuine integrity, and he loved deeply and well. Family, friends, and neighbors could always count on him to lend a helping hand, listen to their thoughts and ideas, or share a bowl of ice cream. He supported, taught, and encouraged each and every member of his family. He will be deeply missed….
A funeral mass will be held on May 24, 2021 at 9:00am at
St. Lucy Catholic Church, 2350 Winchester Blvd, Campbell, CA. An outdoor reception will be held immediately following the service. Burial will be private.
