Doris Mae (Elson) Sandie passed away in her Saratoga, California home July 17th, 2017. Doris was born May 5th, 1930 in Columbus, Ohio. For sixty-one years, she was a loving and devoted wife of Robert Alan Sandie and mother of three sons, Scott Sandie of Charleston, South Carolina, Robert Sandie Jr. of Danville, California and Timothy Sandie of San Jose, California. She is preceded in death by her parents Margaret Pearl Farr and William Elson, and her siblings, Dorothy Nye, Paul, Harold, Charles, Marie Graham, Russell, Nancy Wise and Donald and Donna Boyer. Doris, "Nanny" is survived by six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Doris worked at Lear Aviation, Inc. She co-authored a book with Jean Dickenson, "Making a Move to Santa Clara County." She was a member of the Saratoga Book Club, Saratoga Gourmet Cooking Club and attended West Valley College. Traveling and accompanying her husband on business trips was a highlight in her life. Family was the most important focus of her life. Nanny was a blessing to all that knew her and will be deeply missed. Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of life at the Darling Fischer Chapel of the Hills, 615 N. Santa Cruz Avenue, Los Gatos, California on Saturday, July 29th at 11:00 am.
