Dick Jowell Randall

Born Apr. 20, 1931. Died Jan. 12, 2022.
Dick was born in Amarillo, Texas. When he was five years old, he moved with his parents and older brother to a town near Long Beach, California. He served for several years in the Coast Guard. Dick had a successful career in the real estate development industry where he ascended to the position of President at the William Lyon company. He served on several corporate boards of directors. His second career and retirement hobby was as a rancher and a horse breeder, showing horses with his daughter and operating a ranch in Ione, California. He was a major funder of stem cell research at UC Davis and cared about animal health and healing. Dick had many passions throughout his life, including water skiing, snow skiing, flying airplanes (including a Saber Liner corporate jet), scuba diving, travel and philanthropy.
Dick is survived by his wife, Carolyn Randall; his children Michael Randall, Kevin Randall and Tiffany Chaston; grandchildren Tasha Hagerman, Jowell Randall, Zachary Randall and Zoe Chaston; and great-grandchildren Carson Hagerman, Charlie Hagerman, Harrison Hagerman and Logan Randall.
The memorial service will be held at 10:00AM on Sat, January 22 at Los Gatos Memorial Park. Donations in memory of Dick and in lieu of flowers may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation at https://t2t.org/
