David (Dave) Amato passed away the morning of September 13th, 2021. He was 78 years old.
Dave was born in Syracuse, New York to the late Pasquale and Irene Antuna Amato, along with
two brothers Richard (Dick) and Ronald (Ron).
Dave graduated from Solvay High School in 1960, where he excelled as a baseball player. He
then moved to California in 1964 only to soon be drafted by the U.S. Army a year later in 1965.
Stationed in Fort Knox, Kentucky until 1967 he would earn several medals, one of them was a
Sharpshooter (Rifle), which if you knew him was no surprise.
He would then move back to California with his wife at the time Mary (Teut) and raise his 3
children Cheri, Brian and Jarrett in the city of San Jose. Dave supported his family by working
for over 30 years with A. Biederman Inc. as a branch manager. Then worked another 15 plus
years for Ryan Herco Products where he would retire in 2019. Dave enjoyed hunting, firearms,
archery, woodworking and getting together with friends for Sunday dinners.
Dave is survived by son, Brian Amato; son and daughter-in-law, Jarrett and Anne Amato.
Grandchildren Adara Meras, Brooklyn Amato and Darren Amato.
