Beatrice M. AikmanJanuary 11, 1913 ~ February 23, 2018 (age 105)
Born in Spokane, Wash. Loving and loved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Pre-deceased by her first husband, Norman Townsend, second husband, Vernon Aikman and her son, Danny Townsend. Survived by her daughter, Marylin Stuart, daughter-in-law, Victoria Townsend, 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 21 (and counting) great-great grandchildren. Always there for her children and grandchildren, her family would always check in with her for news and to share news. She managed to keep track of us all, somehow. She also had many friends who would regularly drop in to visit or call to check in.
She spent the last 14 months under the care of the kind folk at Pruneridge Residential care center, receiving many visits from family and friends, often smuggling in some of her favorite foods. See this article for more on her life:
Her ashes will be interred with her son at Los Gatos Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity.
