Alvina Mae Condie

Mae Condie, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2023. She was born to Theodore and Nancy Umbright in St Louis, Missouri. Mae met John while working as a surgical nurse in Chicago. After their marriage, they lived in North Dakota and Minnesota before settling in San Jose, California.
Mae had a deep love for people, a passion for Jesus, and a heart for missions. She and John dedicated many years serving on the board of a mission agency and supported many missionaries. Together as surgical nurse and surgeon, Mae and John took three medical trips to serve hospitals in need. Mae was actively involved at Valley Church for over 55 years, serving on the mission's committee, Women with a Mission committee, hosting prayer meetings, and assisting in youth ministry. She had a deep desire to serve her Lord, her family, and her church family.
Mae is survived by her children: John (Angela), Paul (Susan), Ann (Joe), Beth (David), Barbara (David), 16 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Service on April 8 at 2pm. It will be held at Valley Church:  10885 N. Stelling Rd. Cupertino, CA.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests any monetary contributions be made to missions at Valley Church.
