Aldo Angelo Giordano June 16, 1944-December 27, 2022
Aldo Angelo Giordano passed away peacefully on December 27, 2022. He was surrounded by family in the comfort of his home when he took his final breath.
Born and raised in Los Gatos to Italian immigrant parents, Aldo was proud of his Italian heritage. After graduating from Los Gatos High School, he went on to work for the Town of Los Gatos for 30 years. He served in the Army National Guard for six years and retired from the Air National Guard after 30 years of service, which took him to places all over the world including Diego Garcia, Hawaii, Saudi Arabia and South Korea. Following 9/11, he was activated and stood guard at Oakland Airport and was later deployed to Ramstein, Germany.
Aldo was a kind, loving and very sentimental man. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather (nonno), great-grandfather, brother, son, and friend. He loved a good (or any) party, spending time with family and friends, traveling and playing bocce ball. His absolute pride and joy were his children and grandchildren.
He will join his parents Bartolomeo and Dalida Giordano and his brother Denis (Melinda) Giordano who passed before him. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Kathy Giordano; daughter Michele (Erik) Rodinsky, son John (Angela) Giordano, and daughter Stacy (Nicholas) Cintas; grandchildren Kayla, Emily and Gavin Rodinsky and Ivie and Adeline Cintas; great-granddaughter Ella Rodinsky; and brother Duino (Jackie) Giordano.
In lieu of flowers, we invite you to make a donation in his honor to The Alzheimer’s Association, Tunnel to Towers Foundation or Wounded Warrior Project. A visitation and rosary service will be held at Darling Fischer Mortuary in Los Gatos on January 9, 2023, at 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. (rosary 6:00 p.m.). The Funeral Mass will be on January 26, 2023, at 12:30 p.m. at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic Church . Private burial at California Central Coast Veterans Cemetery.
